Solomen Heater came from Louden Cty in 1845 and purchased "Cedar Grove" near Middletown he then married Caroline daughter of Dr. Henry Winderof Penn They had 3 sons John P member of the 7th calvalry wounded at Patterson Creek and died thereJan 5 1864 Henry also of the 7th calvary was captured and died in prison at Fort Delawarea in 1865 Charles W who lives south fo Middletown in on the handsomest homes in the Valley he has been president of the state board of agriculture for several years . their mother was a remarkable bussines women she lived to be 80 Charles had 1 son also named Charles who never married Belleview now the home of Dr Samual McCuane was once part of the Belle Grove tract Solomen Heater sold it to its present owner in 1867. General Custers celebrated division of cavalry camped on this farm in the fall of 1864
