Thanks Harry for the encouragement,and I will keep on digging can't help it,just got to know,and you are right,back then they would change the spelling just because they could.i found a Rep Heathcoe in Indiana who started out as Heathcoe then he removed the E and then the A.he was foundcoming from Ireland with a family called Featherstone,of which he married a Martha or a Mary.You can find Heathcoe in Indiana and Alabama,but just ask them who they were related to and they don't fully know,it is like the Heathcoe clan had the Johnny Apple Seed syndrome-they just had to spread their seed to as many places as possiable.You can find them dead,but not alive in any one place for more than a year or 2.Thanks for the help I really can use it.Peggy
