Hello Loretta,
Believe I may have found Manerva (Hedgpeth/ Hedgepeth) Johnson along with her parents and brothers on the 1850& 1860 Benton Co. Mo. Census. They are calling her Amanda J.. 10 years old on the 1850 Census & 20 years old on the 1860 census. Of cource we both know she was Married to James F. Johnson on the 1860 Christian Co. Census and that census says she is 18. But Manerva's tombstone says Born Feb. 11, 1840, so that would make her 20 years old.
The Trancribed 1850 Benton Co.Census for the Hedgpeth's is;

SurnameGiven NameAgeState Born
HedgpethAmanda J.10Tennessee
HedgpethDavid E.36Tennessee
HedgpethIsaac N.8Missouri
HedgpethJohn L. M.12Tennessee

The Trancribed 1860 Betnon Co.Census for the Hedgepeth's is;

HedgepethAmanda20Tennessee
HedgepethDavid E.44Mo.
HedgepethIsaac18Tenn.
HedgepethJohn21Tenn.
HedgepethMaranda47Tenn.

One of our cousins Irene Trigg here in Arkansas. Had this info on our Great Grandmother Manerva
Hedgpeth. It was wrote in a small note book that was her mothers.

Dads Mother - Nerva Hedgspeth
Borned in north carolina

Dads father James (Jim) Johnson
Born in Tennessee

Dads Grandma
Ann Hedgspeth(hedgpeth)
Irvin Hedgspeth(hedgpeth)
mothers side

We show James and Manerva on different census's, with their birth
states reversed, back and forth from Tenn. to N.C.
Thanks,
James C. Johnson
