James Otis Heffington, Jr., age 74 of Conway, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at his home. He was born April 14, 1930 to the late James Otis Heffington, Sr. and Ruth (Johnson) Heffington. He was also preceded in death by brother, Chester Heffington.
Mr. Heffington was a former bus driver for UCA, an Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, and a member of Oak Bowery Baptist Church in Conway.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Clarice (Barham) Heffington of Conway; a daughter, Delores Wheat of Conway; three sons, Otis Ray Heffington, Michael Gene Heffington, and James Lee Heffington and his wife Tammy, all of Conway; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, James L. Heffington and David Heffington, both of Conway; and three sisters, Mary Rossomanno of St. Louis, MO, Emadean Richardson of Little Rock, and Nelda Grissom of Conway.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Oak Bowery Cemetery with Bro. James Black officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
