I am Garry Heidel, grandson of Albert David and Edna Stoops Heidel of Gooding, Idaho. Albert and Edna had five children: Leonard, Alice, Betty, Dan and Kenneth. All are deceased except for Dan. Kenneth, the youngest child, was my father. Leonard, the eldest child, was born in Canada and this supports the information that you have provided below. My father spoke often about his Uncle Bill (Wilhelm)whom he knew and corresponded with often. He also spoke about a younger brother to Albert and Bill but did not know his name. It may be the Henry Heidel of Ohio.
We found the birth certificate for Albert a few years ago. Albert was born in a small town near Warsaw, Poland and was given the name Adolph. He changed his name after he arrived in the US. He came to America as a stowaway on a merchant ship. He learned to cook on the ship and was an excellent baker. Albert was a farmer by trade and spent his last years near Gooding, Idaho. He and Edna are buried in the Gooding Cemetery. Albert died in 1950 and Edna died in 1970.
I will be glad to correspond further if you like. I am interested in who and where the younger brother's family is located.
