Very interesting - thank you for the information, and for the Hagler sources.I will take a look at those.
Thanks for the Helms CSA tidbit, also. I will look for them in my database and append that to their files. As it happens, it was some of my Lewis line from Barbour Co. AL that I was referencing who were maimed in the battle of Atlanta, although my direct Helms ancestor was hospitalized from injuries in Macon. Few families remained unscathed in the horrors of that war.
Seems to have lost something from the end of you last posting, and also, my apologies for my fumble fingers on the posting that you just answered...my fingers and keyboard were at odds last night.
Previously when I saw people listing Adam Hagler as marrying Malinda Helms, I had thought that perhaps their thoughts may have been based on proximity in Barbour Co. rather than on research. But I can see that you are an in-depth researcher who obviously didn't make that assumption, so I know you had found something else in support of 'Adam' - if you have the time, I hope you will keep me in mind as you run across other pertinent data.Even though Malinda isn't part of my direct line, I would like to be sure that I keep the most accurate information on her in my database.
I appreciate your input, and also I will pay more attention to Malinda's group now.
