Margaret Birdella Woodhurst was born to parents Walter Wille Woodhurst and his wife Velma Mae Hopke. She was born in Ralls County, Missouri on August 1st 1920.
On September 13th 1947 she married Melvin Robinson and had two children by him.
On July 15th 1955 she remarried at Hannibal, Missouri to Ralph W. Omer, by whom she had two further children.
She worked variously at the Perry Cafe, at the Cerf Brothers Bag Company and at a local garment factory, all in Perry in Ralls County.
She died aged 78 at her home in Perry on July 20th 1999. Her obituary was published on July 22nd in The Hannibal Courier-Post. She was buried in the Lick Creek Cemetery in Perry on July 24th.
Her children by Melvin Robinson Donald Eugene Robinson Calvin Robinson Her children by Ralph W. Omer Fred Omer Mildred Omer Mildred married into the Helwig surname. Lived in Bluffs, Illinois area in 1999.
Rosemary F. Paschal, 81, of rural New London, died at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 23, 1998, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Paschal will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Hannibal. The Rev. Richard L. Ingmire will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park.
Mrs. Paschal was born Oct. 17, 1917, in Ralls County to John R. and Anna Gertrude Helwig Freiling.
She was married to W. Howard Paschal on Oct. 10, 1942, in Hannibal. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, John Paschal of New London and Charles Paschal of Hannibal; one daughter, Rosalyn Hull of Shreveport, La.; eight grandchildren, Jeanine Paschal, Regina Paschal, Charlene Paschal Parks, Stephanie Hull Eager, Zane Paschal, William Paschal, James Paschal, and Matthew Paschal; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Robert Freiling Jr. of Hannibal.
Mrs. Paschal was a retired elementary school teacher. She first taught in the Mills Creek School and taught music after the Ralls County Schools were consolidated. She later was kindergarten and first grade teacher at St. John Lutheran School for 16 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she had been choir director of both adult and children's choir and had taught a Sunday School class for mothers. She was a member of St. John Ladies Aide and the Altar Guild, Luther Manor Auxiliary and Oak Hill Extension Club. She had been secretary at St. John Lutheran Church and St. John Lutheran School. She was a graduate of Hannibal High School, Hannibal-LaGrange College and received her degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She later did graduate work at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville.
Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or St. John Lutheran School.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Zane Paschal, William Paschal, James Paschal, Matthew Paschal, Shawn Clark and Ryan Parks.
