Hi! Wow!- Someone who knows of Uncle George!George Elliot Jardine is the brother of my great grandmother Marian Jardine. My grandmother and Uncle George lived in Ridgewood, New Jersey and they also had a farm that they spent their summers on in Orange County, NY in Mountainville, which is near Cornwall on the Hudson. Both the Ridgewood house and the 2 houses on the farm in NY state are still there.I would love to know how you are linked to the family- Iv'e been trying so hard to find out any info I can on this latter part of the Hempstead family with out much luck.I only have what my mom and her cousins can remember as children.Unfortunatly there isn't anyone we know left to talk to about it. The following is how this part of the family fits into the Joshua Hempstead line (Diary, Hempstead House). Most of this info was given to us originally from research that my Uncle Elliot, who was George's nephew (Marian's son)had done.
Marian Jardine m. Otis Hempstead (George- Marian's brother) Had 2 children- Elliot and William
Elliot m. Elizabeth ? had 2 children- Kathy and John Edward
William m. Estelle Braun- had 2 children William (Billy) and Jacqueline (Jackie- my Mom)
