Richard,
You are correct in most of your info. "Hill" Hendon was actually Reuben Hilliard Hendon, son of Harris Hendon and Cynthia Dean. Hilliard married his first cousin, Margaret J. Hendon, 11 Sep 1866 in Monroe County, MS. Margaret was the daughter of Hill's uncle Willis Hendon and Mary Sophia Kyle.
Hill and Margaret had two daughters: Minnie Lee (born 1867) and Laura Kate (born Apr 1870).
Hill Hendon was a Confederate veteran, serving in Co C, 3rd Texas Cavalry. He was seriously wounded during the War.
His first wife (Margaret) died in Monroe County in Oct 1880. Hill married second, Louisa J.(unknown) about 1903 (probably) in Cherokee County, TX. Hill died about 1916 in Cherokee County, TX and is buried at Enis Cemetery.
