I have actually researched from the family origins in England, and also of the 4/5 families that turned up in Ireland during the mid-1600's,I have evidence in the form of family trees for the family dating back to the 1500's in UK. and also some other documents earlier to that.
What I would really like is to see some evidenceregarding the James and John who do actually turn up in USA in the early 1730's as to their parents although it is stated over and over again that they came from Ireland there is no documentary proof whatsoever, that they were related to Isaac Henthorn and Mabel Wildman nor that they were brothers. In fact in those times cousins were also referred to as brothers within the family records.Although there is evidence that Mabel married Isaac there are no birth documents for either of these two people either in Ireland nor elsewhere. This is something which I would dearly love to solve.Wildman is an English name as is Henthorn(e) and there were no people with those names in Ireland prior to 1640 and no Henthorn(e)s after 1857. I have had some research done recently in Ireland and they conclude that the family originated in Lancashire this they have concluded from what records are available in Ireland.
We should keep on battering at this brick wall and hopefully someone who is researching the family will solve it.
