First, I will admit my connection is a distant one and that I have gotten a bit carried away with searching the extended branches of my family.
My info for Adam & Jane is limited. It is only through Blanche's marriage that I have any connection.I have only vague birth dates for her parents.
Blanche Herbison married Hilliard Earle and their son was Howard Milton Earle, who married my mother's brother's wife's sister, Jean.(Talk about a distant branch!)Howard passed away in 2002.
Adam & Jane’s other daughter, Elsie, married Walter 'Dwight' Manhard (I remember hearing my grandmother mention his name often).Dwight's parents were Jesse Manhard and Eunice McDougall.I am descended from both the Manhard & McDougall line.
I acquired most of my info from familysearch.org and I have my grandmother's, Mabel (McDougall) Wood, scrapbook with newspaper clippings for a few Herbisons.Like death notices for Elva, Nettie and William Herbison,
My first school teacher was Mrs Herbison (I believe her first name was Mary) who taught at the Fairfield East school. She is a Herbison through marriage as she was the wife William John Herbison. Her maiden name was Bell.I have a lovely photo of her with the class in front of the school taken in 1953.My grandmother also had her death notice from the newspaper.
Any info you have for Adam, Jane or any other family member would be appreciated.By the way, I was born in Brockville but moved to BC, where I currently live, when I was 12, but most of my family still lives in the Brockville area so my connection to Brockville is still strong.
