I'm looking for information about Michael Hernon and Margaret Ellen (Lacey) Hernon of Boston.
Margaret was born in Ireland around 1891 (in Rossadilisk, near Clifden). Michael was also born in Ireland (around 1888) and I believe he and Margaret were married there. They moved to Boston after their marriage and had children:
Martin J. Hernon (b.1916) Mary Hernon (b. 1918) Peter Hernon (b. 1923 Francis Hernon (b. 1928?)
Would love any info on these children and their descendants.
Margaret is the daughter of Mark Lacey and Mary Coyne Lacey of Rossadilisk, Ireland. I have information about her siblings, three of whom died in the Cleggan Disaster in 1927. I don't know anything about Michael Hernon's parents.
After arriving in Boston, Michael worked as a laborer on the railway. I believe that he may also registered for the draft during World War I. A draft card from 1917-1918 lists a Michael Hernon (born Galway, Ireland) from South Boston who is a railroad laborer.
