Personalized Herzog Hymnals found
I sincerely hope whomever reads this message can help me.
I came across two beautiful hymnals at a garage sale in Western North Carolina about 3 years ago. I could not allow them to be separated as they appear to belong to a married couple with the names of Georg Herzog, and Bertha Herzog. Georg's hymnal is dated 1898, Bertha's hymnal is dated 1902. They are both in a European language, German I think, of course I could be wrong. They each have several items inside the hymnals from a church in St. Louis, MO of whom J. Baltzer was the Pastor. Bertha's hymnal has dried flowers throughout. Seems so sweet. Both hymnals have gold-edged pages and are leather bound.
I have searched all databases that I can find to locate the family and am now at wits end. I really believe these beautiful hymnals belong to the ancestors of Georg & Bertha Herzog, not a book collector.
Please email me if anyone knows these names and can help me find the rightful heirs. These are precious and well kept. I will happily send these to the family. Thank you! Sherry [email protected]
