I had asked about Catherine, (she must of had parents)seeing how much has been done on the children, of whom I have information on. Namely Father Patick, and Bishop Thomas who were brothers by separate births, not twins. And children of Patrick Heslin and Catherine Hughes. I have a bigraphical sketch from the Catholic Diocese Of Jackson, Mississippi of Bishop Heslin- Most Reverend Thomas Heslin, D.D. was born at Dernacross, County Longford, Ireland, in April, 1847 of good Irish stock. Thomas was the second of eight children six boys and two girls. Three of whom gave themselves to the service of God in Holy Orders. One of them however, died while a subdeacon. Another. Reverend Patrick Joseph Heslin, who served as a priest in California, was taken from his home in Colma, California, on a pretended sick call on the night of August __, 1921, and foully murdered. Thomas Heslin - Later Bishop Heslin was baptized in St. Mary's Church in his native parish a few days after his birth. He was educated first in a little school in the neighborhood where the teacher was supported by the meager contributions of the people of the district. later he attended school in the town of Granard, County Longford, eight miles from his home, and he made his journey to and from school every day. later he went to school at Moyne, County Longford, where he was taught Latin and Greek and some higher mathematics. This school was nine miles from his home, and he walked there each day. I am skipping a few paragraphs Two years after his consecration he made his ad limina visit to Rome, visiting on his way his mother in his old home in Ireland. His father had already gone to his eternal reward. Bishop heslin took a keen interest in the affairs of his native land, and during his visit to Ireland in 1891, being invited to attend a meeting of the Bishops of Ireland in the seminary of Maynooth, he was called upon to address the gathering. he did so, and his address made a deep impression. there is 4 more paragraphs. A letter from JJ Igoe to Father O Brien on Feb 27th, 1932 talks about a request for the exact date of Bishop Heslin's birth, states the the old church in the home parish did not keep records of baptisms. J J Igoe states that he believed it was his mother and godparents who furnished the information of his baptism necessary for his ordination, believing it to be April of 1847 John J Igoe was a nephew of the Bishop.
