Can anyone sort out the confusion on RootsWeb concerning Hannah, wife of George Coile?
I haven’t seen it but I understand the will of Nicholas Hevener 1769 Augusta Co, VA named dau Hannah Gile (one of many spellings of Coile) and George was mentioned in the accounting of that estate.Report goes on to explain that Hannah’s son, George Coile, Jr. m Mary Conrad (dau of Jacob & Hannah BOGART Conrad) and that is how the name Hannah Bogart was erroneously added to the mix.
There are 4 postings that call Hannah’s father John Nicholas Hevener.They gave 2 wives for him: Elizabeth (once as 1/w, rest as 2nd) and Anna Elizabeth (3 times as 1/w, once as 2/w).Some cite his wife as Anna Elizabeth Seibert and others say she married a Nicholas Hevener who was BORN 1769.Some postings DO NOT list a dau Hannah for Nicholas, some call her Hannah Mary and one or two Hannah Mary Johanna.Hasn’t someone combined names for two or three different persons?Some don’t give old Nicholas’ father but a few say he was William.
There ought to be a law! :-}
