Hello Coleman, George Robert Twelves Hewes (1742-1840) member of the Boston Tea Party in 1773.Married Sarah Sumners 01-17-1768, she was born 1751 (not 1731) and died 1828 in NY. Buried in Richfield Springs, George R.T. Hewes is also. Her parents were Benjamin and Mercy (Melvil) Sumner. There is a book that is available called 'The Shoemaker and The Tea Party' written by Alfred F. Young, that is about George Hewes and the Tea Party. In that book P. 72, it states that she 'died at age of 77 in 1828'. My wife is the 4th granddaughter of George and Sarah and we have some DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution)papers that states the same. However no month or date other than the year. E-mail me if you need any other info.By the way my wife descended thru Sarah Ann Hewes B; abt 1770 daughter of George and Sarah Hewes. The book is a very good book about about his life. You need to read it.
