Would like to hear from those related to this founder of the Chataugua Movement with Lewis Miller, industrialist from Akron, OH, and father-in-law of Thomas Alva Edison. John Vincent Miller, a son of Lewis, headed one of Edison's companies. I am researching a family that passes along John Vincent as a name combination. They, however, are not Methodists.Maternal ties of my friend, for whom I am researching, exist with Frauenheims (see #75 in this forum) who have Heyl ties.I do not know if the two Heyl groups are related.
In a very extended tie to my friend's family, Thomas Edward Murray, Sr., inventor, was a "friendly" rival of Edison's.I have seen a picture of him with Edison and some of Edison's pioneers, i. e. those who studied with Edison.
I doubt that my friend's "John Vincent" relatives were named for John Vincent Heyl nor Edison's brother-in-law.Clues or thoughts appreciated. Thanks.
