Just in case I have some distant relatives on this list or for anyone else that might be interested in hearing them, I have converted some old recordings into digital mp3 format. The links for downloading them are found below this note. Two of them were recorded in 1953 at the California home of either Dave Litke or Albert Gossen (not sure). The event was the 50th wedding anniversary of my great grandparents, Isaac(son of Johann Hiebert 1816) & "Agunda" (Adelgunde daughter of W.P. Litke) Hiebert. The quality is not real good but they are very understandable for me except for the German being spoken by Mr. Gossen and Dave Litke and others. The third is of my grandfather Milton Hiebert (died 20+ years ago) singing. It is not as old and I think it was recorded in the early to mid 70's. He must have edited these as his voice briefly appears in the older recordings announcing who is about to speak or sing. One of the files is over 17 minutes long and as such, is a rather big file and probably too big unless you have a highspeed internet provider.
