Sorry if I have upset you.I have no intention in doing so.Sometimes when communicating via these message boards, the words can be mis-interpeted.
Anyway, I aprreciate your help.
I disagree with John Hicks owning Wednesdays Project.This 98A tract of land was in Chaptico Hundred while John Hicks lived in St. Indigoes.John Hicks was also a very wealthy person for his time where John Higgs was not. He owned a number of large tracts of land both in Maryland and Virginia.Also, as you point out in his will, there is no mention of Wednesdays Project.
The St. Marys Web site is a great resource, much like many of the books and CDs used by researchers it contains mistakes.I use them as an index to go and get the original documents and read them and have found many mistakes.
Here is what I have for this tract of land:
Wednesdays Project, John Higgs, 95 Acres 1734/06/13 Patented Certificate 691 3 0 MSA S 1205-710 === Wednesdays Project, 98 Acres; Certificate Developer/Owner: Higgs, John 1704 Patent Record EI 5, p. 13 0 0 MSA S 1598-3877 === Wednesdays Project, 98 Acres; Patent Developer/Owner: Higgs, John 1704 Patent Record EI 2, p. 165 0 0 MSA S 1598-387
I have copies of the Patent records for 1734 and can tell you that they clearly say John Higgs. If you would like a copy let me know where to send it.
