Hi James, I am sorry but the only knowledge I have of your Highberger line is the marriage into our Keefer line posted.
You might inquire of Carolyn Thalman on the Westmoreland Co PA genealogy site who is knowledgeable about your surname.
Try writing to Westmoreland Co Historical Society, 151 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, PA 15601 to inquire. I checked my PA German Pioneers series of books and found Hueberger and Heyberger. Americans really made a mess of spelling those German speaking immigrants names.
Vol. II, page 125
List of passengers on board the Ship Traveler, Capt. George Billups, from Amsterdam, June 22, 1803 listed;
Jacob Heyberger
Vol. II, page 347
List of passengers on board the Robert and Allice, Martly Cussack, Commander, Sept. 30, 1743 included Andreas Hueberger.
You may want to save these two names for the time when you have learned more about your ancestors as one of above probably is yours?Good luck.Ginny Keefer
