Does this Jonathan Highfield fit into your material anywhere? My John Miller was in Fleming Co in 1820 so I assume this could be him. Since Mrs. Smith was formerly Nancy Highfield I assume there is some family relationship there, like she was Jonathan's daughter or widow - and apt to be family relationship to Miller since he married a Highfield. Please comment based on all the research you have done.
