I have updated information on my father's family.Richard Highton born 1855,(a home builder in Southport) married Alice GLEAVE (not Gleason as I was lead to believe.)From Richard Highton's obituary from 1920 he lived at 107 Duke street Southport. I also discovered that "he came from an old Southport family his father and his grandfather being native's of the bourough. Both were builders and the late Mr. Highton followed the same calling..."He and his family built and lived in homes called "The Grange" on Southport Road, and "Round House" on Waterloo Road, Birkdale. He also built homes in New York City, NY, USA.Richard had two brothers (that I have found).Luke and Charles.Luke married and had three children (that I know of), Tom, Herbert and Ethel.Tom had two children Dorothy and Herbert.Charles married and had four children, Maggie, Ada, Richard and Charles.Richard and Alice had 7 children Albert b.1877 (my great grandfather), Margaret b. 1878, Richard b.1880 (died in infancy), Florance b. 1881, Charles b. 1888 (died in infancy in New York City, USA), John "Herbert" and Louis b.1893. Any information as to who Richard's parents were would be appreciated!
