Has anyone on this forum ever submitted an application for membership to the Mayflower Society based on lineage through Seth Hinckley, son of Samuel Hinckley and Mary Freeman, daughter of Sarah Mayo and John Freeman, son of Edmond Freeman and Mercy Prence, daughter of Thomas Prence and Patience Brewster, daughter of William Brewster, Mayflower passenger?
I am interested in pursuing this as a gift for my sister, and I understand that if I include a copy of an already approved application, I don't need to provide copies of sources shared with those already accepted. Needless to say, this would make the process MUCH easier if a relative (the closer the better) had already been accepted as a member.
My descent from Seth is as follows: Seth Hinckley m. Thankful Atwood, had Mercy Nancy Hinckley m. Benjamin Whitney, had Isabella Whitney m. Increase Blethen, had Sarah Blethen m. Thaddeus Richardson, had Mary Jane Richardson m. Jacob Johnson Barker, had George, who had Miles, who had Lynn, who had Milton.
Even if you can't help me out with the above, if you've ever been through the application process I would be interested in hearing about your experience and any advice you have to offer.
