Hello Roger - sorry for delay. (Had trouble with internet server.)
It seems likely that the parents: John and Elizabeth Hindley/Hindlay (nee Hindlay) of
Catherine might be the same for my ancestor:
John. The area (Pancras)is the same; the address on his birth certificate is Church Row. He was not born until 25th Nov.1838 (and was a twin), but there were many still births then.
Do you know what Catherine's father's profession was? On John's cert.it is given as a smith (i.e. blacksmith).
Finally, can you tell me the age of Catherine's mother at 1861 census?
Many thanks for your help. I will investigate more with any answers you can give me.
Janis King.
