I forgot to mention that Nicholas HEADINGTON may have had two wives. The first one, Delia BAXTER, d/o Greenbury BAXTER, is buried at Pfister's cemetery on Cross Creek Road. Her inscription reads: "In Memory of Delia Headington who died (Mar?)ch 27, 1830 in the (illegible) year of her age."
Delia BAXTER and Nicholas HEADINGTON were married 15 Dec 1792 in Baltimore Co. MD. Delia's mother Hannah is also buried at Pfister's.
The other wife is buried at Cross Creek Tent Church Cemetery: Elizabeth wife of Rev. Nicholas HEADINGTON died November 27, 1876 in the 84th year of her age." [born 1792].
I've found no record of Nicholas HEADINGTON having a son of the same name by a marriage previous to Delia BAXTER, and the 1810 and 1820 Brooke Co. censuses indicate that Greenberry HEADINGTON was the oldest son.
It's possible that there was a previous son who was brought up elsewhere and became a minister. For the time being, I've placed Elizabeth as a second wife of Nicholas Sr.
