Bob and Bud Hinsley moved from Denton County to Floyd County during the deprssion and bought farms and drilled irrigation wells.Bud Hinlsey's place was north of Floydada.His son, Lonnie B. farmed in Floyd County till he died and his sons now operate farms in Floyd, Dickes and other conuties as Hinsley Farms.Hinsley Farms can be searched via internet. They live in Floydada and their mother may be your best source.Bob Hinsley's place was 2 miles south of Dougherty. Bob Hinsley retired to Amirillo after selling the Dougherty farm to his son, Robery James (AKA R.J. or Chunky) Hinsley.R.J. sold the farm after a hail storm totally destroyed the cotton crop and bought a ranch in Hamilton County in 1959. R.J. died in 1976 in San Angelo, but buried at Floydada. My brother Aaron Jay and I (James Alvin Hinsley) are the only children by his wife Erna Christine Fields from Paducha as her children before me were still born. The only Dougherty I know of is in Floyd County as I went to elementary school there, but no knowledge of a J.C. there.
