This definitely is my G Grandfather Ben Powell. I have records of his death and his copy of his WW II draft card. Minnie was, I believe Mary Ellen, not 100%. I have a photo of him, nice looking man.I have, I think, found his father is buried in Gists Creek Cemetery, Sevier Co. Tenn. On the death certificate it states his fathers name was Monroe. After much searching I have found it is James Monroe Powell.
Unfortunately I cannot find a death certificate on Minnie. I have information of her last residents and SS#, and a couple of pictures. She remarried after Ben died to a man named Bill Waddington. I understand he was not very respectful of her.
I have researched trying to find Bens middle name, you solved that mystery, thank you.
Anyway, yes I would love to correspond with you. By any chance, are you related? My connection is his son Riley, who he is buried with, one headstone in Diamond Grove, is my grandfather, my fathers father.
Thank you for this missing piece. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
