I have the Land Tax lists of Prince William County Virginia on hard copy for the years between 1782 and 1810. The only one of our Dutch Hoffs that is ever changed any land tax was Moore Hoff and he owned a 40 acre as well as a separate 160 acre farm.
Something that I feel might hold more needed information is the deed of purchase or inheritance for Moore Hoff landsprior to the 1782 land tax lists I have.
The deed of sale or separation of these 2 properties after Moore's death might hold info as well.
I was going to mention that oldest Joseph Huff (a Dutchman also) and wife Elizabeth of Cocke county Tennessee had a daughter/daughters that also married into the Padgett lines.
Nathaniel Pegg/Pigg also had a river named for him in southern Virginia and at the time it was located in Halifax/Pittsylvania county . It is still called the Pigg River and many of our Dutch Hoff/Huffs lived there on the river in the 1700s. If you look at the Revolutionary War soldier (pension easy to find online)cousin of ours listed as John Huffborn 1760 and died 1842, he is buried in the Pigg River Baptist Church cemetery with his war memorial marker . This cemetery is located on the Pigg River .
