Jerry, Here's the information which I found: All sources state that he first married Agnes Crawford, second to Nancy Griffiths. But two wills found listed in an index of Abstracts of Wills,Inventories, and Administrations Accounts, Frederick Co., Va., by King, proves that Agnes Crawford had to have been the second wife. I descend from James and his first wife Nancy Griffith. Grandmother was born in 1702 and died between 1729 and 1739. Grandfather James married Agnes Crawford on March 18, 1739. Grandmother Nancy provided him with 3 sons, Agnes with 10. I've also seen them mentioned in the notes from the Quaker Meeting houses, on Genealogy.com's web site. Hope this helps you. Please be aware that the meeting notes are hard to read on Genealogy/Familytreemaker. Good luck!
