Wm H/JB Conner made widows,Athens Cty, Oh b/4 1850
Both men left small children and widows behind. The widows are only one page apart in Athens County, Ohio 1850 census, in Dover Twp.
J.B. Conner married Eliza Ann Howard in 1837 and their children included Lucetta(c 1838), Marion(c. 1840), Sophia(c. 1843)Ansel/Anson?(c. 1845) and John Evermont(c. 1848)(my 2nd great grandfather). She would remarry, Elias Poston in 1852, a neighbor.
A William H. Conner married a Mary Ann HOISINGTON in 1847. A Mary Conner is left in said 1850 census with 1 yr old Douglass.
By they're proximity, did they marry brothers? Was there an epidemic in northern Athens County between 1847 and 1850 that might have taken both men? Was there some other event then, that could have claimed both lives, or just separate amounts of bad luck?
If you know about their relationships, at all,(can verify/clarify my assumptions or describe these men's ancestors etc) would you e-mail me at [email protected], thanks, Mike
