Troy Allen Holbrook, 59, Gray, Washington Co TN, died early Saturday at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN.
He was born in Coeburn, VA, and was a son of the late Delmer and Eva Mae Hobbs Holbrook. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons, James Allen Holbrook, of Johnson City, TN, and Howard Hugh Holbrook, of Gray, TN; one brother, Bobby L. Holbrook, of Birmingham, AL; and two sisters, Janice and husband, Dan Sutherland, of Gray, TN, and Joy H. Rudder, of Roanoke, VA; one grandson, Evan James Holbrook; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, April 20, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel and any other time at the Gray Community Center, Ruritan Road, Gray.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. with Reverend Samuel Siebo and Pastor Michelle Buckles officiating. Pallbearers will be James Allen Holbrook, Howard Hugh Holbrook, Mike Sutherland, Dan Sutherland, Bobby Holbrook and Blaine McCoy.
Burial will be held at a later date at the Mountain Home National Cemetery.
