I have pretty much run as far as I can go with the Holderby's. I have about everything on the local Holderby's there is extant photocopied, and have a pretty complete Family Treemaker file, though many things have dubious sources. I am afraid that Ariana and her immediate family is as far as I have gone, though.I am still seeking confirmation of the marriage of William Holderby and Priscilla Pendleton or their graves, which appear to have vanished into the past. I will spend some effort following up on the Lanes as time permits. For reasons that are not clear to me and probably have to do with $$$ almost none of Mason County's records are available online except from other genealogists. You have to physically go to the library and courthouse to look at documents. If you were actually physically present, it would be clear to you that Mason County and Cabell County are/were both quite close together on the Ohio River, and there was lots of commerce between them quite early. It is in Mason County that the Kanawha River meets the Ohio River.I will be happy to share what I have with the caveat that some sources are questionable. If you can use a Family Treemaker file, that is probably easiest and most versatile. If you can't use that, I can print it off and scan it. You'll have to contact me directly for that though. In the meantime, I will post anything I find.
