I recently researched the 1860 Census of Hamilton County, Tennessee, and discovered an interesting grouping of dwelling residents.I believe that it shows information pertaining to sisters, Caroline (Holston) Wells and Mahala (Holston) Padgett and possible related information for each family.I carefully copied down this information and will attempt to incorporate in this message.I hope that this will be a help to someone.I research for the Holston family. The parents of Caroline and Mahala were William Holston and Catherine (Dyke) Holston. My ggg-grandmother, Elizabeth (Holston) Hodges was a sister of William Holston.
