This is my Theory about the land deed mentioning a Avenstone Rogers in Rowan County, North Carolina in 1757 that I believe is actually Adenstone Rogers. The reason why so many people over the years have been contacting you claiming Indian Blood and you have been sending them away so to speak is because Doswell Rogers had a brother named Adenstone Rogers Jr.born about 1728 to Adenstone Rogers Sr.and Catherine Doswell. I also believe ironically that the Widow Catherine listed on the Marriage Record for Marshall Duncan married to Elizabeth "Betsy" Rogers Catherine being her Motherwas married to Adenstone Rogers Jr. and she was full blood Cherokee and probably was given the Christian name Catherine after Adenstone Jr. Mother Catherine. This Adenstone Rogers had a son Named Thomas Adenstone Rogers he was born about 1743 and according to land Deeds his wifes name was Nancy who I believe was Nancy Tate. They sold their 117 Acres on Dan River and migrated to Hawkins County, Tennessee along with his sister Elizabeth Rogers who married Marshall Duncan. They are both listed on that 1790 Election list in Hawkins. I don't know where you came up with the name Jame for Thomas's wife. This Thomas is in no way the Thomas Born August 16, 1762 to Doswell Rogers and who Died in 1853 in Scott County, Virginia. They are two completely different People.
