None of the information I have shows anyone named Horn or Horne, except that it was spelled that way on Josheph Hon Sr.'s military tombstone (for service in the Revolutionary War)which was obtained from the US government by Lyda F. Hughes.
Graves beside his read Joseph (Horriah) Hon & his wife Malinda Wells Hon.I suppose the name must have been shown as Horne in his military records.Probably an error. You are correct in that I show no cases of Aaron as a name passed down in the family (until modern times) and no instances of Charles until at least 1830.
It is unlikely that there is any relationship between Aaron and Joseph.Do you have any clue where Aaron was supposed to be from? Joseph likely immigrated from Germany. My dad, years ago, spoke to elderly people in KY who remembered the descendants of Joseph in the area and remembered them still speaking German at the time.
