Bernice, I have your line now, but we have confusion in it. The trouble is that two Martins of different generations were sons of a Nicholas, so researchers have reported the same information for both Martins who were cousins to each other, confusing them. You are in one of the following lines:
1. Hans Jacob, Martin, Martin, Nicholas, Martin
2. Hans Jacob, Martin, Nicholas, Martin
Anyway, you are descended from either Martin or Martin, the third or fourth generations born in America.
We have the information on Martin's marriage to Frances L. Rose, and seven known children, all born in Virginia. What I am not able to tell from your information is who your grandmother Florence's father was. We have three possible fathers, Nicholas, Melvin, and George.
Nicholas married Clarissa McGlothlin and had five known children, one of them a son named Walter who married Bess Unknown and nothing further is known about him.
We do not have any known children for Melvin or George.
Is any of this useful? You probably ought to buy our book, $66.50 postpaid, which has a lot on the family. The Martin chapter is the largest. If you have it in front of you, we may be able to figure it out.
