Mable Pulley, 86, of Liberty died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 from 5pm until 8pm at Allison Funeral Service, Liberty, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 10:00 A.M., at Calvary Baptist Church, in Moss Bluff, TX, with the Reverend Chuck Bradford officiating. Burial will follow in the Cooke Memorial Cemetery, 1910 Lakeland Drive, Liberty, TX.
Mabel was born in Mahl, Texas in Nacodoches County on March 2, 1921 to parents Lafayette Singleton and Lona Price.
She married James Henry "Jim Baby" Pulley on December 12, 1961 in Baytown, Texas.
Mable lived in the Liberty-Moss Bluff area for forty-three years. She retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad. Mrs. Pulley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She spent many countless hours doing volunteer and charity work. Mable was a loving, generous lady who will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Pulley was preceded in death by her father, Lafayette Singleton, mother, Lona Honea and step-father, Rev. T.H. Honea, brother, Bill Graham, sisters; Esther Matthews, and Lessie Bryson, and nephews John Bryson and J.R. Matthews. Mrs. Pulley is survived by her husband of forty-six years, James Henry "Jim Baby" Pulley of Liberty, TX, nieces; Ann Burk and Jean Nelson of Nacodoches, TX., Peggy Mize of Mt. Vernon, TX., Beth Bryson, Dee Stelly and Suzie Ortego of Winnie, TX., nephews, Jack Matthews of Rockwall, TX., Jimmy Graham of Rusk, TX., Harry Bryson, Jr., of Winnie, TX., numerous step-nieces and step-nephews and other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Texas Elks Endowment Fund, 1963 FM 1586, Gonzales, Texas 78629.
