John I am descended from the William Honeyman you have listed. He married Catherine Codling, not Codlingwere. The parish record says that William Honeyman and Catherine Codling WERE married etc etc. The word were has merged onto the end of Catherine's name. I have spoken to other Honeyman's who suspect the Scotland link, but they cannot prove it.A Honeyman family from St Andrews in Fife in Scotland seem to be able to trace down to a William who died in Hutton Rudby in 1737, so clearly not the same one, but Hutton Rudby is too much of a coincidence I think.
I have the William who married Catherine as being born in 1706 in Hutton Rudby, but have not been to independently confirm this to parish records. Let me know if this is of any help
