Thank You Linda: Elias Hoskinson , I believe, was a neighbor of my ancestors in the early 1800's. The John Wood Collection has a map of the Days Run area. It is hand drawn and dated 1821. It shows a Hoskins' on Days Run. Page 274 of the Monongalia County (West) Virginia Recordsof the District, Superior & County Records. On Motion of Peter Tennant and others it is ordered that Elias Hoskinson, William Eddy and Peter Tennant be appointed to view and lay out a road from Peter Tennant's to Charles L. Hoskinson to intersect the road leading to Miner's Mill, July 1821. This from Volume 11: 1819-1922, Compiled by Melba Pender Zinn, Heritahe Books, Inc. From West Virginia Archive & History Library, Charleston WV.
I have been trying to pin point, where it lies today, the land my ancestors purchased on Days Run in 1810.
