Philip Lorentz Houtz is how it is spelled in the DAR.
Born 1713-died 1788 , married Eva Walborn
The only way to get in the DAR with this Patriot
ishe paida supply tax that aided the Revolution 1779.
(Source:Pennsylvania Archives, Third Series, Volume XVIII, 1897---page 175 shows "Register of Property of the Inhabitants of Berks county for Raising the Supplies for the year 1779" , and page 208 shows Bethel Township and the last name is "Hautz, Lorentz---he had 200 acres, 4 horses and 4 cows and paid a tax of $3200". You can get the documents for this on www.fold3.com -put in Pennsylvania Archives.)
