Thanks Stephanie.
Do you by any chance have data on any of the Howerton/Overton people?I am trying to pin down a Reuben B. Overton (b abt 1785 VA, d 1826 KY).I have a direct DNA match to John Howerton/'Overton' (b abt 1715, Essex Co, VA; d bef Jun 1792, Spotsylvania Co, VA), and I have been trying to find a connection in that branch with my Reuben, so far to no avail.I have been looking at a grandson of John, one Beverly Overton (b abt 1768, VA; d possibly in Franklin Co, KY).He married twice, first to Elizabeth Connor on 2 Oct 1788 in Orange County. And then less than a year later he married agsin, this time to Patty Richards on 15 Sep 1789 in Orange County.I can find no reference to a divorce ending the first marriage, and so I presume that wife Elizabeth died, possibly in 1789.I have speculated that possibly she may have died in childbirth with my elusive Reuben B.This is pure speculation, of course.According to data in Ancestry.com, Beverly and second wife Patty had two sons, a Garland Overton and a William Nathan Overton, but no Reuben appears.Do you by any chance have information on that first marriage?
Thanks.
