I am the granddaughter of Melvin Earl Howse. I know there is a family tree and the elders have it. I haven't been able to get any of them to dig it out. Grandma, Catherine Louise, my stepgrandmother promised me her copy. But, as matters go closest ones to her got it. Everyone has their cop;y in storage. It is hard to get one. Dad, Donald Dean Howse doesn't know where his is either, Uncle Melvin B. Howse and Aunt Grenwdolyn have a copy too. Ask, Aunt Helen. Maybe she can find hers. Also, the family name was changed to Howse after Grandfather and a brother who was a minister had a unpleasant argument. Denise Howse/Nichols researced in New York and found that the name was spelled House orginaly contrary to our side of the family's myth. Eileen we are cousins. Denise is my double cousin. She is Aunt Ellen's daughter on the Howse and my Uncle Clyde Nichols daughter on my mothers side. Get in touch if you have any more information. I can't get it from the elders.
