I know there were Secords and Sicards who came to the eastern provinces of Canada later.
They are not descended from the original Ambroise Sicard
but they came straight from France etc to Canada...
so be careful...
The sons of Daniel Secord of New Rochelle, NY (1698-1765) three brothers James (Jacques) Peter and John (Jean) were all born in New Rochelle, NY, went out to the Susquehanna River Valley in Pannsylvania to farm about 1773 with their wives and children.
About 1776 they were driven off their lands by the rebels and they joined Butler's Rangers as Loyalists and fought for the British.
All of the families settled in the new country of Canada, in Ontario.
The other Secords back home in New Rochelle were rebels/Patriots. They didnt go north to Canada.
Unless you can trace yhour line back through James, Peter, John to their father Daniel Secordto his father Daniel Sicard and his fatherAmbroise Sicard.
