Algie A. Hulan was my great grandfather's brother. Algie married Mary Dews 8/20/1899. I found it in the marriage records book for Davidson County 1896-1899. They have a copy of the marriage license on file at Nashville's Metro Archives. They pulled it and showed it to me. They will make you a copy for $4. They also had listed Minor Hulan m. Minnie Boldin 2/21/1899 and John Hulan m. Lizzie Sexton 1/23/1898.

Algie was buried in the Hulan family Cemetery. I've been there many times. The markers are no longer there and the ground is sunken in where each grave is. My mother remembers Mary Dews Hulan and Lizzie Evans Hulan living together in a little white cottage beside Hulan Hollow at 7490 Charlotte Pike, 37209. She said they were both widows.
My mother is Patricia Irene Hulan Davids b. 1951. She grew up in Hulan Hollow. Her brother Preston Hulan and cousin Martha Sue Hulan still live in Hulan Hollow. It's still a gravel road but it actually has a street sign now.
My grandfather's brother, Edward Hulan lives in Bon Aqua, TN. He is 86 years old.
