Jacob Stiles Hutchinson b. Fitchburg, Mass., 2 Oct., 1784, son of Samuel Jr. HutchinsonHe m. 1808, (unknown at this time). Jacob was ‘of Cavendish’ (Windsor County) Vermont on 8 May, 1820, when he sold Cavendish land (witnessed by James & Sally Smith), to Charles Witherell of Reading. This deed read: “in consideration of $200... a parcel of land lying in Cavendish.. containing one-half acre... being the same that I now live on, bounded on the east on the highway, on the southwest and north on the land that Luther Hutchinson now lives on, and is also the same half-acre of land I received when I sold the land to Luther Hutchinson.” In August 1820, Jacob was married and has his own farm in Cavendish. There was 7 in his family, viz: 1 daughter (age 10-15); 3 daughters (under age 10); 1 son (under age 10) Jacob (age 26-44); Mrs. Hutchinson (age 26-44). Neighbors were relatives Nathaniel Hutchinson, Luther Hutchinson, Lincoln Stiles, William Spaulding 2nd – all living in Proctorsville area.
