In recently getting "into" genealogy because of my Dad, I've had the pleasure of corresponding with a few gracious people from around the country at various times and often after hearing of another person through word-of-mouth.Surfing the 'net tonight has formalized and made up my mind to post this suggestion:why don't each of us who are interested in our common surname/family searches form a network -- something more formal than "have you talked to so-and-so?" The network could use this site as a base or if someone (who is more computer-literate than I) has a web site that we can post messages to, it could be the base -- the repository.ALL of the folks I've "talked" to are more than willing to share info as I am.Shouldn't we pool our resources/knowledge?
Let's start by responding to this with email addresses and a vote and/or suggestions.
