I am not certain who the Daniel Igo who married in 1825 in OH was that married Mary TEVIS or was it DAVIS?
My Daniel Igo who married Sarah Hughs in Dec. 1830 was married by Joel Cook, Minister of the Baptist Church in Morgan Co., KY where the marriage is recorded. My Daniel igo was the son of Thomas Igo b. 1790 Va (according tot he 1850 census) m. Mary "Polly" Davis, daughter of Nathaniel and Margaret Davis of Montogmery Co., KY according to estate records rodered by the County Commissioners who visited widow Margaret Davis in her home. There is microfilm al this in Frankfort, Ky's St. Archives which I have seen and copied. Thomas Igo and Nathaniel and/or Margaret Davis are listed in Tax Lists also available at the KY St. Archives on microfilm for several years in the early 1800s. Margaret Davis transferred her power of attorney to Richard Davis, possibly her son. Nathaniel Davis and his brother were deceased by March 15, 1809.They were murdered by slaves, some of which were being transported by the Davis brothers from Md, through KY, to New Orleans. There was a lawsuit when some slaves were found guilty and hung. The Davis family sued the state of KY "for lost property" which I will never understand.
