I got your note on ancestry and was able to track you down here. I've found the same census docs you referenced, and am also working on finding out more about the mysterious Tabitha.
FYI, according to the 1910 census, it looks like Miles was a widower, living with a Mary Penley in Russellville, AL, and working as a miner. I'm not sure if there was any sort of relationship between Miles and Mary, but I'm wondering if he was a border since many of the homes in that area where miners worked housed boarders. The thing that is throwing me off is that he's listed as a "father," but Mary Penly is listed as "head."
