Hi Rhona Yes I can link Robert Inkpen to my roots - but I think the date of birth could be wrong - possibly
First of all I found my Great great grandfather who was named Robert Inkpen who was born in 1782 - who married a woman named Mary - they had 11 children - and one child was named Robert Inkpen who was born in Burin NFLD in 1817- he died in August 1837 in Great Burin( he drowned) - he was bapitzed in april 1817 - it was his brother who is in my family line ( my great grandfather )- the 5th child named Thomas Inkpen born 1824 in Shalloway NFLD
I don't have the info for Robert Inkpen and not sure if he was married or not - I know that we are more than likely related if he comes from Burin NFLD as all of the family line comes from that area and still to this day - there are family members down in Burin NFLD.
Do you have any other info on Robert Inkpen - as it would be helpful - the last Robert Inkpen that I have is a Robert bornin 1817 and died Aug 1837 who was Robert's second son - but it is a name that is in the family line I wish I had more info for you - I did find my cousin and my brother and I also have a sister- they live in NB and my brother is in Halifax area - alot of my family line lives in Boutliers Point - Nova Scotia - but came from Burin NFLD originally- so I am sure we must be related somehow - very interesting that this Robert had a daughter named Ivy !!!! I am positive we must be related as this is just too coincidential for it not to be !!!!
You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can start to put the puzzle pieces together - I will ask my cousin Bonnie as I know she has alot of info on the family!!!!
Take care and hope to chat with you again - tell me where you live in your next email - Thank you Ivy
