The note below is in a file in Ross Co., OH Court of Common Pleas located in the basement of the Chillicothe-Ross County Law Enforcement Complex.
"We promis to pay or cause to be peaid unto John Inks or order by his sun the full quantity of wan hundred bushells of coren to be delivered at or upon the first day December as Witness our hands and seals this 16th day of May 1798"

I believe my line of Englands came from PA. Ohio did not become a state until 1803.Anyone know where these two John Inks originated and what their connection to the Englands in 1798 might have been?
